FIRE SAFETY ASSISTANT

Every year, fire suppression systems fail to operate satisfactorily in fire situations. In about one-third of these cases, the cause is inadequate inspection, testing and maintenance. The mission is to maintain the fire equipment, portable fire extinguishers, fire hoses, and pre-engineered fire suppression systems in compliance with all of the applicable codes and standards. Regular fire department inspections are no substitute for a fire protection equipment inspection and testing program.

• The FS Assistant maintains accurate records on Fire system inventory, including the following
  • Tracks individual items by an assigned inventory number

• The FS Assistant creates reports that continually report system inventories for comparison purposes
