Web Permit Registration Assistant

The security system controls which P.I.'s information is displayed. Security is controlled at both the server level and at the application level. A sign-on and password is required for entry into the program. The Environmental Health & Safety Department initiates sign-on and password information. The Web server does not have to be the same server as the database server. A simple configuration file tells the web application how to connect to the database server that contains the EH&S Safety data. The Web Permit Registration Assistant Web Application needs to reside on a server version of windows i.e. Windows 2000 Server or Windows Server 2003 and using a stand a lone service or IIS.

 

Principle Investigator

The Web Permit Registration Assistant allows the P.I. to submit permit registrations electronically. The WPR Assistant will allow the P.I. to complete your specific permit application forms or standard program forms submission over the Internet. Upon completion of the registration electronically the Permit will be made available to the BSO, CSO, RSO and safety management for approval as "Accepted As Is" or "Additional Comments/Changes Requested". Upon final review and approval the P.I. will receive and electronic memo indicating the approval.
